Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test (OSSLT)
The Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test (OSSLT) measures whether or not students are meeting the minimum standard for literacy across all subjects up to the end of Grade 9. Successful completion of the literacy test is one of the requirements to earn an Ontario Secondary School Diploma. All students across the province write this test on the same date, usually in late March each year.
Students MUST achieve a 75% or higher on the test to pass. This is a Graduation Requirement for every students OSSD (High School Diploma)
We will be running a MOCK Literacy Test December 4th (Periods 1 & 2)
Wednesday March 27, 2019 – OSSLT Test Date
Our after school literacy program will aim at helping students develop skills to pass the OSSLT. We will dissecting parts of the test and provide important strategies to help students be successful.
Please pick up a form in the Main Office and return ASAP.
AFTER SCHOOL LITERACY PREP COURSE STARTS NOV. 15TH!
Classes run Tuesdays & Thursdays – 3:00pm – 4:30pm for 6 weeks. Class is FREE!!
Snacks will be provided!
It’s that time of year again and the deadline for course selections is fast approaching!
Grade 10 students and their parents are encouraged to watch the following recorded presentation: Let’s Talk About Pathways! to learn more about selecting the appropriate courses for their Grade 11 year, as they plan their educational journey and career pathway.
Students are encouraged to speak to our Student Services department, should they have any questions about course selections and choosing a pathway.
