Jersey Day

Every year Holy Trinity teams and clubs travel to different destinations to represent our school and to create lasting memories.  All of these trips are supposed to be a positive experience. As many of you know, last Friday the Humboldt Broncos Junior A hockey team was involved in a horrific crash that took the lives of 16 team members, on route to a playoff game. As a sign of our love and support for the community of Humboldt, the players, and their families, we as a school community would like to show how much we care.

Today, as a way of honouring the lives of those who were lost, students at Holy Trinity will be allowed to wear a team jersey of their choice.  You are asked to be in full uniform under your jersey, with no exceptions. Students and staff  will also have an opportunity to sign a banner in the atrium before school or at lunch that will be delivered to the community of Humboldt. You can write a message of condolence to those who have died and/or write your well wishes for the survivors. Thank you to Mrs. Keats and her students for creating the banner on short notice, as well as Mr. Balech and his classes for creating the badges that will be distributed by members of the hockey team to those that choose to sign the banner.
